Quilt Shop Owner Round Table

Topics:"Work Smarter, Not Harder"  and
Open Discussion Forum on Holding Events in Your Shop
Where: Quilter's Corner, 1257 Sycamore Square, Midlothian, VA  23113 (Richmond, VA vicinity)
When:  Held on Sunday, June 27, 2010, noon – 3:00 pm ET (may go longer than 3pm if the attendees wish)
Cost:  No charge for QTA members.

The session will begin at Quilter’s Corner at 12:00pm with a brown bag lunch. Here’s a chance to network with other quilt shop owners while dining on a lunch & drink that you bring for yourself. The topic of “Work Smarter, Not Harder” will follow lunch and is presented by Susan Emory, Owner of Quilter’s Corner. Her shop was featured in 2008 in "Quilt Sampler" and has since expanded into a new building. Susan will discuss her “buy what will sell and sell what you buy” philosophy and share her experience with buying, kitting, merchandising and (most importantly) SELLING.

The second topic, “Shop Events” is an open forum for the quilt shop owners to discuss ideas on shop promotion. Shop owners will discuss what has worked, and not worked, for them and get insight to new events. This is not a presentation session, but rather a question/answer dialogue amongst the attendees. This is truly quilt shop owners helping each other.

This is sure to be a round table networking session  that is jam-packed with networking and education, so if you can make it to Midlothian, VA for this half-day retreat, please join us!  Register below.
